HopeFest ‘06
HopeFest was an extension of the Global Day of Prayer in May ’06. The leadership this year wanted to expand this day of prayer into a time of practical service in one of the neediest areas of our city. The result was an incredible success for a first year event! 3,000 local residents, along with over 60 agencies and organizations, along with a number of churches, took part. Over 20 groups also took part in service projects throughout the area over 2 months surrounding HopeFest.

We were especially pleased at the way resources, including medical and dental services, were successfully connected with attendees. For example, over 300 families without medical insurance were connected with insurance providers. We believe that the PIH collaboratives will make for a very beneficial HopeFest ’07.
